Started by having trouble getting up again, with the result that I was late to therapy, but not by much. As forewarned, the electricity was turned off at 9:00, so I got up and showered and dressed in the dark.
On the way to therapy I got a phone call from the Kid! She wanted to check in, which was nice of her, as I really wasn't expecting her to call while she was away, though she does have international calling on her phone. So that was nice.
Therapy went well, and afterward I went back into Flushing to get the bus to work. I was standing at the bus stop when a fire engine came roaring past and stopped at the end of the block, followed by another and an ambulance. There was visible smoke, and other fire engines from another direction. They rerouted the bus so we had to walk a block over to get it. And it was late of course so I was almost late back to work. As it was I had to gulp my lunch and start immediately.
The guy from Saturday caused more trouble today, not with me, he apologized to me, and thanked me for helping himtoday... but right at closing he realized somewthing hadn't printed right, and made a huge fuss about wanting us to do something to fix it before we closed, and he got in a fight with Ms N about it. I got in his good books again by looking up the number of another library in Westchester. Don't know what good it was going to do him, they closed at 5 also. But whatever.
Anyway, after work I went to the bank, cause it's payday, and then to Boston Market for dinner. There was an accident, just a fender-bender, I think, on the intersection of the Bruckner service road and East Tremont Ave. as i walked to Boston Market. I thought that was a bit of a coincidence considering what happened in Flushing in the morning.
Then I called the FWiB and we talked until my meeting.
My meeting was very good. Then I came home and paid my rent online again.
So that was a busy day.
1. The FWiB.
2. Didn't get on the bad side of the guy from Saturday.
3. My meetings and the people there.
