Did Christmas shopping after work
Work itself was pretty normal, except for the alarm which keeps going off because there's a problem with our phone lines, which the fire alarm runs on. Verizon is working on the phone line problem, but until they fix it we have this blasted beep beep beep of the alarm going off periodically. I did the gaming program with the teens, very sparsely attended, alas.
But anyway, I went to Target after work, the one I pass on the way home on the bus. I was talking to the FWiB, but we lost connection when I got in the store, which was disappointing, but we'll make up for it tomorrow.
I spent a lot of money, and pretty much finished my shopping. I am going to be short until I get paid again, which is a bummer. I may have to dip into my savings. But it is what it is.
Then after I got home and had dinner, and was just getting ready to call Oldest Brother for my nightly call, the phone rang and it was mashfanficchick
, asking if I was free at the moment, and inviting me to go out to Taco Bell. So I did, and we made plans for this weekend, which, I don't think I've mentioned, is the Torchwood Holiday party.
Anyway, came back after that, and completed my call to Oldest Brother, and that's all. I put up the last bit of my Christmas decorations, the star lights, tonight.
It's awfully warm in here, and has been the past few days. I've opened the bedroom wndow a crack, not large enough for Sybil to get out, but enough to get some cool air in.
Should make some mention of the pipe bomber in Penn Station this morning. I am unimpressed. As the internet meme said, he's an idiot with an inadequate bomb, and his crowning achievement was making people's commutes 36 minutes longer. THAT"S the proper New Yorker reaction.
1. The FWiB.
2. Shopping mostly done.
3. The bomber wasn't very good.
5. Plans for the weekend.
