Hope Everyone had a HAPPY THANKSGVING!

Mine was pretty good, except that I just typed a very long post and somehow deleted it. But I shall redo it.

Got up at 9:30 and had a small breakfast and coffee. The took a shower. I was going to wash my hair but there was no time so I just wetted it and moussed it and it looks pretty good.

Then I got dressed and had just finished when Oldest Brother arrived with Middle Brother. Middle brother has been told finally about the SIL leaving the Kid, and about the Boy, and he was OK with it, so that's good. They brought in the stuff Oldest Brother bought and we sat for a bit, and then went to pick up our food from Boston Market.

That was the bad part of the day, we waited on line for an hour and a half before we got our food. And they gave up creamed spinach instead of spinach and artichoke dip. But we like the creamed spinach so that's OK. The Kid called on the way home, sadly she said that her connection on her phone wasn't good enough for a video call, but she'd call back at 2:00.

Finally we got home and I started the turkey breast warming. It takes 90 minutes, and it was 2:00 by the time we got it on. That means eating at 3:30 when Oldest Brother had been planning on leaving at 3:15! Obviously he was late, but his boss said that since he had such a good record of never being late, and never not showing up, he shouldn't worry about it.

Anyway, I heated up all the food while the turkey breast warmed, and we had cheese and crackers as an appetizer, and hard cider to drink. Finally the Kid called back, and we all said hello and Happy Thanksgiving to her and the Boy, and a nice time was had by all.

At a little after 3:00, we turned off the music I'd been playing for Middle Brother, and put Alice's Restaurant on youtube and listened to that. Wonderful nostalgia as always. By the time it was over it was time to eat.

And we ate. Lots. The food was all delicious and there was plenty of it, including the extras we bought. Served with sparkling, non-alcoholic cider. And I even squeezed in what I could remember of the Old Root Blessing.

And then there was pie for dessert with whipped cream. Also very delicious, and eggnog to drink.

Finally, I divided the leftovers, giving most to Oldest Brother, and they had to leave.

And I Skyped the FWiB, who was alone for Thanksgiving, but says he likes it like that. We had a nice time. Oldest Brother called while we were talking, to tell me he got Middle brother home and himself to work safely.

After that I puttered on the computer for awhile, then went and read. Last night I downloaded The Left-handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nnix to my Nook, and I've been reading that.

At 9:00 I called [personal profile] mashfanficchick to wish zer and her mother Happy Thanksgiving, and we talked a little.

And then i came out and puttered on the computer some more, then fed the pets. I gave Oreo some turkey as a special treat and he liked it.

And then I started tyoing this, and as I said at the beginning, lost the entry, but this recaptures it.
