At about 11:30 a loud alarm begins to sound. And while we're trying to figure out what's going on, the alarm company calls. It's the carbon monoxide alarm.
So we evacuated the building, and the fire department shows up and investigates. They discover it's our boiler. So they turn off the heat, open the back door and say it's OK to return to the building. I was in charge, and I told everyone to stay out until we were told by our supervisor that we should.
So we got the OK, and returned to the building, with no heat, and open doors and windows, just in case. Lucky it was such a mild day.
Eventually a man from the boiler company arrived and investigated. Turns out that the burners were installed sideways! He fixed it, and turned the heat back on. By that time it was about 4:15 and we close at 5:00 on Saturdays. So not much time left there.
Anyway, that was the excitement for the day. Aside from that I did get a call from my therapist at lunch time, which was nice.
After work I was going to Skype the FWiB but he got a Skype from his brother, so I had dinner and puttered around till my meeting at 7:15. That went very well, though we cancelled the second meeting at 8:00.
So I Skyped the FWiB then instead, and we taked for a bit shorter than usual because he had to get off to nebulize and I was waiting for Oldest Brother to call.
So after Oldest Brother called, I played solitaire until it was time to feed the pets, and here I am.
1. The FWiB
2. The carbon monoxide detector.
3. It was a warm day.
4. My meetings and the people there.
5. Made it to work on time.
