anxiousI slept late, got up and had breakfast and coffee, including one of the donuts we got yesterday. Puttered around on the computer. Something disquieting happened, it happened once before, and I wrote about it. The computer locked and shut down by itself. Wouldn't start again til it cooled down. The last time that happened was at least a couple of months ago, i forget when, but it's upsetting.
Anyway, it didn't happen again. I Skyped the FWiB and all was fine.
Read, had dinner, puttered around, played solitaire. Nothing special. Put my glass pumpkin away til next year.
Called the Kid, didn't get through but she called me back later and we talked.
Finished reading Bronwyn's Bane and downloaded the next in the series, the Christening Quest.
Oldest Brother called at 9, that's why I'm posting here earlier than usual. Oreo thinks I should be feeding him now. He has to wait til 10 like always, and he's not thrilled with the change in the time.
Oh, when Oldest Brother was here yesterday I found that I nno longer seemed to have a program to play DVDs. in a hasty search for something to play them with I downloaded a program simply called DVD player. I didn't like it to much but it worked. Last night before bed though I downloaded VLC Media Player, which I like quite a bit, I had it at one point, I guess it must have been something lost when I had the computer worked on. So today I figured out how to uninstall the dvd player, and am just going to use VLC from now on.
So that's all I did today, and tomorrow it's back to work.
