Worked from home

And was able to come up with things to do, including research for my prospective blog post on pre-Tolkien fantasy.

After work I Skyped the FWiB. Nothing new there, we had a nice time.

I made a can of corned beef hash for dinner, just to be different. It was good. I followed it up with more of the honeydew melon ice cream.

The new Lois McMaster Bujold Penric and Desdemona novella is out to download, though not available through Nook yet, alas. Barnes and Noble seems to have mostly gotten the Nook problems straightened out, so I downloaded Song of Sorcery. I say "mostly" straightened out... I ended up with it downloaded twice, though I hope and think I only paid for it once.

I called Middle Brother, though I was late because of the Barnes and Noble thing. He's doing fine, looking forward to Halloween.

Called Oldest Brother, nothing new there. We are hopefully going to have a visit with Aunt Helen and the rest of the family on Sunday, if the weather holds out.

Going to call the Kid after this. I called her last night, she was OK, but a little down.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. Barnes and Noble fixed the Nook problem.

3. Found enough books for my blog post idea.

4. New Bujold out.

5. Both brothers OK.

6. My cat.
