chipperThe amethyst and silver pendent necklace I bought arrived today, and I called the Kid to tell her about it.
Then after that the FWiB called me! My e-mail was wonkky, he had been getting mine but I hadn't been getting his, or in fact, anything, as it turned out. Later in the day, stuff started to come through from the whole day. I get a LOT of e-mail each day but not much of it is personal. Mostly it's political begging letters.
At 3:00 I had the YA Afternoon Tea, which was about movies today, and that was fun. I was thinking of presenting something, but didn't.
Then I Skyped the FWiB, and we talked for a long time, which was nice. Got interrupted right at the end when he got a call from his wife, but he Skyped back after they finished, and we finished up too.
Then i went and lay down and played solitaire. How thrilling. Have I ever posted here that I am a solitaire addict? I play game after game on my phone. Don't ask me why, except that I used to play (or rather, watch play, and "help") with my grandmother, and I have many happy memories of that.
At 6:30 I tried calling Middle Brother, but he was having dinner so I said I'd call back. Then I had my dinner, finishing in time to have my Al-anon meeting. That was a step meeting.
The Thurber reading was cancelled, so after my meeting I called back Middle Brother. He's doing fine, and not on lockdown any more! So that's good.

mashfanficchick and we talked fr a long time, and that was very nice. Good to hear her. I had my nightly glass of wine while we talked.Went back to my room to play more solitaire and putter on my phone, and was just abut to call Oldest Brother for the second time today when I got a facebook message from, of all people, John Ivon, wanting to know of he could call! So I said yes, and he called, and he wants to send me something, no idea what, but he needed my address. So we talked for awhile, it was really wonderful hearing from him.
Then I did call Oldest Brother, and found that, happily, he had gotten the two weeks sick pay he was entitled to, so that should help his financial situation for awhile. After we got off the phone, I called the Kid to tell her. She's having a May Day zoom party I gather, with her fellow socialists.
So all in all a very successful day.
