Anyway, I got up and showered, the Kid called me briefly while I was getting ready to shower, and I told her I ordered the necklace. Then I showered and washed my hair, and dressed and then went out. I took out a bag of kitty litter from Oreo's pan, and a bag of recycling, and then I continued on around the corner.
Dunkin' Donuts is still closed, not that I thought it wouldn't be, but I had hopes. Also closed now is the other laundromat that I was thinking of taking my clothing to because they still had drop off. To late for that now. But the grocery store was open so I got a box of Frosted Flakes cause they didn't have Cheerios of any kind, and I'm almost out. Then I went to the bagel place, and got my usual bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll.
Came back, and the stamps I ordered from the Post Office had arrived. The 50th Moon Landing Anniversary ones are gorgeous. I'm going to give them to Oldest Brother. The frogs are nice too.
I called Oldest Brother, and we went over trying to find out when his government $1200 would arrive, and trying to get his info into the IRS s it could be direct deposited, but we were unsuccessful.
I Skyped the FWiB, for about an hour, and then went and read.I puttered on line for awhile, too. I ordered, from Amazon, a copy of a book that I used to have and wanted back, The Inchworm War And The Butterfly Peace. And I finally did something I've needed to do for ages, I taped up my Al-anon books, which were falling apart. While I was doing that, mashfanficchick texted me, and we had a nice conversation.
At 7:30 I poured the last of my bottle of mead, which I discovered was my only bottle. I had misremembered that I had another, but everything I have left is wine, except the rum and Drambuie. I had that with my cheese and crackers, which I'm also out of now. And I watched the Thurber reading.
After that I started looking up places to order more mead. I wanted to use the meadery in Bethlehem PA, that the Kid took me to when I visited her there. But they wouldn't deliver to my apartment, I would have had to go to a UPS pickup site, and that isn't happening during this lockdown, so I gave up on them.
I went and lay down and read some more, then called for the third time today Oldest Brother. He got his car jump started by John and Denise, for which we thank them very deeply. Also he called the radio station to see if they wanted him to work tomorrow, but they already had someone. So he has more time off to recover.
One thing that happened today, one of the light bulbs in the ceiling lamp over my bed burned out. Going to have to get Oldest Brother to help me with it again. Have to wait til he's better, of course.
Fed Oreo and Christie and went on my mead quest again. Ordered two bottles from Black Willow winery in Niagara county, where the bottle of mead I had came from, when I went there with the Kid several summers ago. It's expensive, and the shipping was more expensive than the other, but at least they'll deliver to my door!
And so I had a rather full day, with a lot of retail therapy buying, I realize in retrospect.
Still reading The Broken Kingdoms, and enjoying it.
