Day 21: Cleaned the turtle tank

Last night after I posted her the Kid called and we talked for awhile.

Then this morning I had a short text conversation with mashfanficchick. All is well with her.

Skyped the FWiB, for about an hour, and then his wife called and he had to get off. After they were done though we Skyped again for a bit just to finish off.

After that I went and dozed for awhile, I got up when someone rang my doorbell trying to get someone to let him in because the door is still broken. I went and opened it for him, then stayed awake puttering on the computer. I paid some bills.

Finally I pulled myself together and did something I had needed to do, I changed the water in the turtle tank and cleaned the filter. It looks much better now. The turtle has eaten almost all of the cuttlebone I put in for her. Soon I'll have to put in the other one.

After that, in order to reward myself for the job, I made a rum and coke, and puttered on the computer for awhile, then went and lay down again. At 7:30 I came out and got ready to watch the Thurber read. I had technical difficulties though. I hope it's with the internet, and not my computer. I understand people are having trouble with the net lately since everyone is home on self-isolation and using the net. But the feed kept freezing up and stopping. Bummer. I hope my computer isn't giving out.

Anyway after that I had dinner, and went and read.

And that was my day.
