Day five

Today was totally normal, for the new normal. Got up, breakfasted, coffeed. Talked to J on the phone, made plans but I think we're going to have to cancel because it entailed meeting one of her friends for lunch on Sunday, but the new guidelines are that as of Sunday all non-essential gatherings of any size are banned. So I'll drop out of that. Don't think there's much chance of infection, but I don't want to get a ticket or a fine.

Anyway, the rest of the day was taken up by reading, puttering on-line, listening to music, and providing a sleeping platform for Sybil. Skyped the FWiB for an hour, which was nice.

Also got e-mail from the boss with a spreadsheet for logging work-related stuff that we do at home. With some pretty stupid stuff on it, for instance asking about programming for April when 1, we're probably going to be cosed, and 2, even if we're not all programming has been canceled through May. But I may have to do some on-line trainings.

Got a call from mashfanficchick about Keith Olberman reading James Thurber on Twitter. So I'v signed up for Twitter, and I hope she can talk me through getting to listen to him tomorrow.

In reading, I finished The Wonder Engine, and I think I'll take a break from T Kingfisher and move on to Barbara Hambly.

Tomorrow Oldest Brother is going to come and take me shopping and we are going to eat take-out at the big park in College Point, provided it doesn't rain. Since it will be Saturday and not Sunday, this should be OK.

Forgot to add, it's now been released to the public so I can say, yesterday they told us we wouldn't be reopening April 1 after all, but rather we would be closed "until further notice."
