Started out by slipping and falling on ice in the morning on my way to work. Luckily I didn't damage myself, just pulled a few muscles, which I'm starting to feel now.
Got to work, and the coffee maker wouldn't turn on. Turns out that the circuit breaker that powers the electric socket it was plugged into was turned off. So that was OK. The rest of work was OK, though I had to do the walk-around computer tutor.
After work plans were originally that

So I got myself over. I got bubble tea in Flushing, the brandy flavor, which was nice. Then I discovered that the 7 train wasn't running between Flushing and 111 St and I had to take a shuttle bus, which was slooooow due to bad traffic. Finally got there, and took the train to 74th St where I transfer to the E or F, only to find that the E and F were both running on the local track and making all local stops. The sum total of all of this is that getting out at 5:00 I didn't get to her stop til after 7:00.
Then we went through several permutations of what to have for dinner. The first idea, Indian pizza, fell through because the place was out of large gluten free crusts. We eventually decided on sushi for dinner, as one does. Because nothing says rough day like raw fish on rice.
Then we watched the movie Charade, with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant. It's very cute.
And finally we had ice cream, and they brought me home, where I fed the cats and turtle, and had a phone call from the Kid.
And now it's time for bed.
