OMG What a day

We were seriously short staffed today because three people called out sick and one is on vacation. Leaving three of us working which isn't too terrible except that one person was at a meeting in the morning, and the other had to leave at 4 for physical therapy. So for most of the day there were two at a time. Plus there were any number of Things That Went Wrong, starting with having to call ITG and wait on hold for about a half hour in the morning, and ending with a snotty patron just before closing. Of course my gaming program was cancelled as I couldn't take the time to do it. And the Kid texted. Which is sad and stressful. And I can't blame her one bit.

After work I Skyped the FWiB, which was much better. We talked til I got home and then I Skyped again. And then the Kid texted again. So while I Skyped the FWiB I texted the Kid.

At least I had my leftover ice cream from Wednesday with dinner. For those who don't know, Wednesday is Sundae at Carvel... two soft serve sundaes for the price of one. So I get two and save one for Monday. Delicious.

Aside from that, I am carrying out my New Year's Resolution to get new glasses by making an appointment to get my eyes examined at the Target Optical Center in College Point on Friday. So that's a Good Thing.

Tomorrow I have to get up early to get to a training in Manhattan. Blah.
