Election Day

I almost forgot to vote! I was actually at the bus stop waiting for the bus when something on facebook reminded me it was Election Day. I went right back to my polling place and voted. Needless t say I was a bit late for work, but not important today.

The rest of the day went smoothly. There was no school so it was quiet, and of course I had no programs.

The boss called me into the office to talk about my annual leave requests. I felt that I was being unfairly treated and said so. I was polite and did not whine, and eventually I gave back a week, and rescheduled it, but got the rest of what I wanted. That includes a week in July when I plan to go and visit the FWiB again. He told his wife about it today and she was ok with it, so all is well.

Speaking of the FWiB, we Skyped after work on my way to my meeting. I was going to get a chicken sandwich at Popeyes, because everyone says they are so good, but they were out! So I got my usual lamb over rice from the Halal cart and went to my meeting. Which was small, just me and M. A step meeting, step 11.

Came home and it is now time for bed. I need to get up on time tomorrow because I have a class coming in at 10 so I can't afford to be late.

And I just got a call from The Kid, which is nice.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. The Kid.

3. Looks like everything I voted for is passing.

4. Got my annual leave.

5. My meetings and the people at them.

6. Got work done today.
