Then I went and lay done in bed, meaning to read. Sybil actually jumped up with me, the first time she's done so in quite a long time. So I lay there petting her and dozed off for about an hour. Then I realized I had email from the FWiB who had tried to Skype me but had been told I wasn't on line, which makes no sense, but considering what happened with my phone later, fits in.
So I Skyped him and we had a nice conversation, until his WiFi froze up, and we lost the connection. So I phoned him back, and we continued by phone.
After we got off I had a late lunch of cheese and crackers and puttered online until it was time for me to leave for my meeting.
Decided to have pizza rather than Boston Market, no real reason, just a change. So I did. Then went to the rectory to pick up the room key. The rectory was closed. I tried calling L and that's when I realized something had gone wrong with my phone. Any number I called, the call couldn't go through. But I could text, and get texts, and email, and use the internet just fine. Just not phone, and when I asked the FWiB (by email) to phone me, all he got was my voice mail. Very upsetting. And all this while it was raining and getting harder.
During this I got a text from

We got two newcomers which is always good, and L was able to get the key after all, so we got into the room and had a very good meeting. I turned off my phone of course, and when I turned it on it seems as though the problem is fixed, so don't ask me what was going on.
So anyway, that was the day.
