Multi Person birthday party

Got up this morning, breakfasted and showered, and Skyped the FWiB for a short while until mashfanficchick and her mother picked me up and we went to Applebee's out in Bellmore, to join the family. Oldest and Middle Brothers were already there, so were John and brianne. Denise and Aunt Helen didn't come to Applebee's and met us later at the house. The Kid and SIL arrived later at Applebee's, and we had a very nice meal.

Then I went with mashfanficchick and her mother to Carvel to pick up a cake, and have put on it all four names, of Denise, Middle Brother, me, and Brianne. And then we went back to Aunt Helen's house, and had the cake, and coffee and tea, and opened presents. And then mashfanficchick and her mother had to go, but th rest of us stayed and talked for hours.

Finally we discussed the cottage situation, and it looks like John is going to make investigation into getting some estimates for some of the things we have to do. Sadly we have pretty much decided to remove the old fireplace, which is so lovely, but falling apart and causing damage to the rest of the structure by letting the damp in. We will replace it with a wood burning stove. *sigh*

Anyway, after that the Kid and SIL drove me back to where they park the car at mashfanficchick's mother's house, and we took the subway from there. When I got to the 7 train I found that it was only running to Mets/Willit's Point, and had to take a shuttle bus from there to Flushing, which was a pain. But it let me off right by the stop for the Q44 bus, which I take to get home, so that was nice.

Anyway, that was the day, and it was very nice.
