Then I went to work. Something t worry abut, someone is going to be assigned (unless someone volunteered) to go to City island for three months to cover someone's child care leave. I am worried it'll be me. I don't want to go to City Island! At least not in February, March and April. Maybe in the summer it might be fun. Though getting there and home would be a hassle anyway. It's the distance and travel time I'm concerned about. *sigh* We'll know on Monday.
Anyway after work I ate dinner at Boston Market as usual, and then went and had tea in Dunkin' Donuts to kill time. Then I went to get the key for my meeting. Surprise! The rectory, where we pick up the key, was closed. Fortunately this had been known last week, so someone had picked up the key early. But it was a long, cold wait for people to arrive. But the meeting was good, and all went well.
E-mailed the FWib, nothing new, except he now knows why the phones aren't right. They are putting in fiber optic cable. So who knows how long that will take?
And in a more cheerful note, the new Lois McMaster Bujold novella is available for download. Granted, it's not my favorite series by her, in fact it's my least favorite, the Sharing Knife series, but anything by her is good.
And now bed.
