Started with The Kid calling me at 2:18 in the morning this morning. I asked her why she was calling me at 2:18. She said because she knew I wasn't going to work today. I said "yes, but it's still 2:18!" Oh well. She wanted to know about Sybil and I told her I wasn't taking her to the vet after all. We had a nice conversation that I'm a bit hazy on now because it was at 2:18 in the morning!
Anyway I slept late, then got up and breakfasted. Puttered on line, and did some more shredding.
Then I downloaded the third book in that trilogy I've been reading, and read that most of the day (I finished the second one last night)
Skyped with the FWiB in the evening, he spent the first part of the day at the track walking.
And that's basically the day.
Except for the most irritating thing... I got a jury summons, starting on February 1. I wouldn't mind doing jury duty if there was any chance I'd be picked for a jury, but there isn't. They get to the part where they ask if you or someone you know has ever been the victim of a crime, and I tell them about the murders, and then I'm dismissed. So what's the point?
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Free day.
3. Jury summons is after Arisia.
4. The Kid. Even at 2:18 in the morning.
5. Good books.
6. Sibyl doesn't need the vet after all.
