So aside from that the day was OK. Work was quiet, I did the laptop program with the teens and got 12, which is a very good number. I got a facebook message from Herschel, and I told him about the FWiB. (I forgot to say I heard from him on Saturday, we had a nice little discussion by facebook messenger)
The phone at the FWiB's nursing home is still out of order, so we couldn't talk after work on my way to Flushing like usual, but we did e-mail.
In Flushing I got a new Metrocard, and then went to my meeting, which was good.
The Kid texted me (I had texted her earlier, and then she wanted to know about presents for Middle Brother, who is always hard to shop for) on my way home.
The sweatshirt I ordered for Aunt Helen arrived.
Only bad thing is Oldest Brother was not able to get the day off for Middle Brother's Christmas party, which is going to be disappointing to them both. And does not bode well for his getting Christmas Eve off, either. All we can do is hope.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB getting out of that nursing home.
2. The Kid.
3. Herschel.
4. Member of the public gave us 4 boxes of chocolates.
5. My meetings and the people there.
6. Things arriving for Christmas.
