Pumpkin Picking!

So I spent the night last night with [personal profile] mashfanficchick. I got a sushi roll to eat while she and her mother had Thai for dinner, since I had eaten before they picked me up. Cause nothing says "night away from home" like raw fish on rice!

This morning we headed to New Jersey to meet up with Dani and the kids. We went to a mall to meet, and had food from the food court for luch. I had pad Thai, which was not the best I've ever had, but OK.

Then we headed to Giamarese Farm to pick pumpkins. The kids had a ball, and it was a lot of fun.

The Kid called while we were there, she is making plans and arrangements for the move back to NYC. She hopes that the move will leave them enuogh money for Arisia. I have faith.

Theo and Winnie got pony rides, and we went to pick apples, but that was a bust because there were none left on the trees. Theo found probably the last unspoiled apple still on a tree. So he got to pick one, which made him happy. And it was fun just going through the orchard.

Then we took a ride to the pumpkin field. I got a nice pumpkin, I don't know what I'll do with it, but I have it.

After that we said good-bye to Dani and family, and [personal profile] mashfanficchick, her mother, and I had dinner at a diner. I had a burger with mozzarella and mushrooms.

Came home and did a search for some info The Kid wanted about when I moved here, how much the movers charged. I used to have the receipt, but I think I must have finally thrown it away. But I'll look again tomorrow.

Didn't get to call the FWiB but we were in e-mail contact during the day, so that's good.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. Friends.

3. Pumpkins.

4. It didn't rain, though it got a bit drizzly at one point.

5. Everything was OK here while I was gone.

6. The Kid.
