Went to College Point as planned, sadly Pink Nails was closed so I couldn't get my face waxed. I did pop into the former Genovesse Drugs, now a Rite Aid, and get some dental floss, and while I was there I spotted something on their book rack I wanted, a Janet Evanovitch. And went to Supremes where I got an Italian hero and a two liter bottle of iced tea.
Then I went to what I always called the big park when I lived in College Point. McNeill Park it is. And stayed the rest of the day. I had dug out my insulated bag that I got at Target, so the tea and hero stayed cool. I ate at 5, and the FWiB called soon after, and we talked until my meeting, which I walked to from the park. It was small, only J was there, so we had no ride home, but we took the bus together and that was OK.
So I had a good day, the park was lovely, strangely uncrowded considering the day and the weather. I remember taking The Kid there when she was small when it was much more crowded than that. It's sad. But that was 20 years or so ago, and I guess things change.
