Not My President's Day Rally

So I went in to Manhattan, but I went to the wrong place. Don't ask how, it's a bit embarrassing. I was able to get the right address via facebook off my trusty phone. But the end result was I was somewhat over an hour late. Still plenty of time to be a part of things though, and it was good. Inspiring, and very nice. Good to be with like minded people. Exciting. I bought a tee-shirt that says "My flag, my country, not my president". More embarrassment, I tripped over the leg of a barricade and fell on my knees and hands. No blood drawn, though.

Then after the rally I got in touch with [personal profile] mashfanficchick who, along with her mother, were babysitting Theo today. So I took the subway to Penn Station and then out to Long Island and joined them. We went to a McDonald's for Theo to play in an outdoor playplace, and I got my dinner. And we stayed a long time, but then they drove me home prior to taking Theo back to New Jersey.

Haven't heard from the vet about Spyder, so I will call tomorrow afternoon if I don't hear before. Also worryingly I haven't heard back from the FWiB's brother. He usually answers me by lunchtime the next day. Well, in one way it's a win/win situation. If he doesn't answer me, i can consider our agreement broken and try to contact the FWiB myself.

Have to be at work at *ugh*9:00 tomorrow, so bed as fast as possible.

Gratitude List:

1. Action.

2. Rally organizers.

3. Wasn't hurt when I fell.

4. Friends.

5. Good books.

6. Bed soon.
